Tourism is one of the most rapidly growing industries and outshined traditional industries to become one of the world's largest and fastest expanding economic activities. The high importance of tourism in the present global economy makes it a very popular research field, especially in the scope of economic dependence between tourism and globalization at the global or regional levels. This study explores the extent to which tourism industry is integrated for the eight selected countries from SAARC and ASEAN for the period 2001-2010. The findings of the study clearly lead to the conclusion that a greater co-operation among the nations in tourism will benefit them all and tourism can act as a driver of development.Keywords

Fracture resistance of endodontically treated teeth restored with post. Aims:This study aims to compare the fracture resistance of endodontically treated teeth restored with resin fiber and stainless steel post. Commercially available prefabricated resin fiber post (Dentsply Maillefer Easy Post), prefabricated stainless steel post (Coltene/Whaledent Parapost) were used. Methods & Material: Forty five maxillary central incisors were obturated and divided into 3 groups: Control Group (Group I) without any post (n = 15), Resin Fiber Post Group (Group II) (n = 15) and Stainless Steel Post Group (Group III) (n = 15). In all Groups except control group, post space was prepared; a post was cemented, and a core build-up was provided. All the specimens were subjected to compressive force under a universal testing machine until fracture. Statistical analysis used: The results were analyzed using the variable analysis test (ANOVA). Results: One-way analysis of variance revealed significant difference among test groups. The control group demonstrated highest fracture resistance (925.2183 N), followed by the resin fiber post group (486.7265 N) and stainless steel post group (423.539N). Conclusion: Teeth restored with resin fiber post showed higher fracture resistance values than prefabricated stainless steel post.Keywords

OFDM(Orthogonal Frequency Division Multiplexing) is a multicarrier modulation technique which has been widely used in modern wireless communications due to its high data rate, immunity to delay spread and frequency selective fading, high frequency spectral efficiency and other several advantages. Besides these benefits one of the main disadvantages is the PAPR problem. High PAPR will increase the system complexity and restrict the system performance. Two powerful and distortionless peak power reduction schemes for OFDM are compared in this paper. One investigated technique is selected mapping (SLM) where the actual transmit signal is selected from a set of signals and the second scheme utilizes phase rotated partial transmit Sequences (PTS) to construct the transmit signal. Both approaches are very flexible as they do not impose any restriction on the modulation scheme applied in the subcarriers or on their number. In addition, SLM algorithm is more suitable if the system can tolerate more redundant information; otherwise, PTS algorithm is more suitable when complexity becomes the first important factor. The simulation compared in this paper using BPSK and QPSK modulated OFDM signals and results shows that PTS perform better than SLM and the probability of high PAPR with increasing the number of sub-blocks in PTS technique decreases obviously, compared to the original OFDM signal.

Various concentration of nitrogen source, e.g. peptone, few carbon, viz., maltose and lactose and inorganic chemicals, viz., MgSO4 and FeSO4 (0.5 to 1.0) were screened to determine the most suitable concentration for better yield of Pleurotus sajor-caju, It was found that all the carbon source and inorganic chemicals gave maximum yield and biological efficiency in 0.5 per cent concentration. On that basis maltose and MgSO4 were proved superior carbon source and inorganic chemical, respectively. Peptone, the semisolid protein as nitrogen source gave maximum yield and biological efficiency in 0.5 per cent concentration.Keywords

The following plants were screened for thew study viz., Ocimum sanctum (Tulsi), Withania somnifera (Ashwagandha) and Asparagus racemosus (Shatavari) which were traditionally used in India to treat various diseases. In evaluating antioxidant property and phytochemical analysis, all three plants were screened for antifungal activity. It was evaluated using Well diffusion method. The extracts were tested against fungus Aspergillus niger. Inhibition of fungal growth was investigated using PDA well diffusion method. The contents of total flavonoid compounds in crude methanolic and ethanolic extracts obtained from Ocimum sanctum, Withania somnifera and Asparagus racemosus leaves.Keywords

This paper presents the results of an experimental investigation carried out for M-60 grade of concrete and evaluates the effect of Alccofine on compressive strength of concrete. High strength concrete is made by the partial replacement of sand with that of foundry slag and addition of Alccofine with cement. In this study, concrete of M60 grade is considered for a W/C ratio of 0.27 with the targeted slump of 170 mm for the replacement of 10%, 20%, 30% of aggregates (fine) with that of slag aggregate and adding of 3%, 6%, 9%, 12% of Alccofine respectively. Tourism is a dynamic industry which is continuously evolving in response to the changes in the micro and macro environment. Over the years, new forms of tourism have come up like medical tourism, sports tourism, eco tourism, rural tourism, etc. The development of rural tourism has come to be regarded as a potent tool to foster development of rural communities. It has led to extensive impacts on the local rural communities. It has been widely recognised that tourism development is a double-edged sword for host communities. Not only does it generate benefits, but it also imposes costs. By evaluating these benefits and costs, local residents develop their attitudes toward tourism. Numerous studies have examined how rural residents perceive such impacts in their communities. However, these research findings are often contradictory. As perceptions and attitudes of residents towards tourism are particularly important for the future success of the tourism industry, this study bases it focus on the perception of residents towards the rural tourism development in the central region of India. In the present study, six variables such as age, gender, education level, involvement in tourism, residential proximity and length of residence, were tested. It was found that none of these six variables had a significant difference existing in the perception of rural tourism impacts, both positive and negative.

The delivery of Cloud computing is a method for delivering information /services in which resources are retrieved from the Internet through web-based tools and applications, as opposed to a direct connection to a server rather than keeping files on a proprietary hard drive or local storage device. We have studied a lot of algorithm for reducing the response time of load balancing algorithm in cloud computing environment. We also measured the execution time of different algorithms. Among wide list of differentials of periodic paralysis, hypokalemia is an important cause. However hypokalemia with respiratory failure as sole presenting feature of Sjogren’s syndrome (SS) is rarely reported. We report a case of recur-rent hypokalemic paralysis which presented with life threatening respiratory failure in second episode, hypokalemia was found due to distal renal tubular acidosis and on further investigation diagnosis of primary SS was made. In this article we emphasize need for detailed work-up of a case of recurrent hypokalemic periodic paralysis in order to iden-tify the underlying etiology and do timely management in order to avoid future recurrence.Keywords
